DESCRIPTION:Although many of the components for an optical quantum compute
 r exist in some form\, to link them together often causes massive losses. 
 Being able to integrate the components together on the same chip could eli
 minate much of this loss\, but there are several difficulties. I shall dis
 cuss my research toward integrating a single photon source and waveguide c
 ircuits on III-V semiconductors\, and the merits and demerits of several a
 pproaches to this problem.
