DESCRIPTION:I will present an ongoing work about the charge asymmetry of t
he top quark at the LHC. After introducing the topic and discussing why th
e measurement of the charge asymmetry at the LHC is quite challenging\, I
will show how the associated production of a top pair with a W boson can r
ender such a measurement easier. If\, on one hand\, the extra W boson lead
s to an important reduction of the total cross-section\, on the other hand
it naturally selects only the asymmetric production channel (qq initiated
) at the LO\, leading to a significantly larger prediction of the asymmetr
 y. Furthermore\, the extra W boson polarises the quarks\, leading to a hig
hly asymmetric production of the top decay products.\nI will present the e
xpected results for the LHC\, and discuss a simple BSM scenario to show ho
w this observable can be sensitive to new physics.
