DESCRIPTION:My vision for the 21st Century: Computational thinking will be
a\nfundamental skill used by everyone in the world. To reading\, writing
\,\nand arithmetic\, we should add computational thinking to every child's
\nanalytical ability. Computational thinking involves solving\nproblems\,
designing systems\, and understanding human behavior by\ndrawing on the c
oncepts fundamental to computer science. Thinking\nlike a computer scient
ist means more than being able to program a\ncomputer. It requires the ab
ility to abstract and thus to think at\nmultiple levels of abstraction. I
 n this talk I will give many\nexamples of computational thinking\, argue t
hat it has already\ninfluenced other disciplines\, and promote the idea th
at teaching\ncomputational thinking can not only inspire future generation
s to\nenter the field of computer science but benefit people in all fields
