DESCRIPTION:Raising provocative questions about power and voice in writing
  partnerships Janice explores issues of representation and protection of p
 ersonal and sacred knowledge in physical and virtual worlds.  With an Indi
 genous scholar and artist\, oral and written narratives of their experienc
 e at a sacred site allows an intercultural generation of land-emergent kno
 wledges\, but translating that experience to the virtual world Second Life
  presents greater challenges. In a second research partnership Janice step
 s back as ‘lead’ author\, becoming midwife to the authorial voice of a
  transnational Scot as she engages with the mystery of her beginnings thro
 ugh powerful autoethnographic narratives. \n\n*Bio*\n\nVisiting scholar an
 d Senior Lecturer in Arts Education at the University of Southern Queensla
 nd\, Janice’s career as an educator spans 30 years and four continents. 
 Her interdisciplinary research brings together the arts\, literacies and e
 merging technologies\, spatial and border theories and concepts of identit
 y\, power and interculturality. A Churchill Fellow\, Janice is co-convenor
  for the Australian Association for Research in Education narrative inquir
