DESCRIPTION:The Crucible network was established in 2001 to facilitate col
 laboration between technologists and arts\, humanities and social science 
 researchers. Several Cambridge projects since then have been funded to pur
 sue art-science collaboration. How are such projects funded\, what researc
 h results do they produce\, and what kind of career path is available to a
 cademics who engage in this kind of work? An open discussion will be intro
 duced by Professor Simon Biggs (Art and Design\, Sheffield Hallam Universi
 ty)\, Dr James Leach (Social Anthropology\, Cambridge) and Dr Alan Blackwe
