DESCRIPTION:By manipulating microwave photons trapped in a superconducting
  cavity\, we realize in the laboratory the « thought experiments » imagi
 ned by Bohr\, Einstein and Schrödinger to illustrate the counter-intuitiv
 e concepts of quantum physics. Photonic superposition states recalling the
  famous Schrödinger cat suspended between life and death have been prepar
 ed and their decoherence observed in experiments which explore the boundar
 y between the quantum and the classical worlds
