DESCRIPTION: I will give a brief introduction to the Sanger Institute and\
 nthe major informatics programs here\, followed be a more detailed\npresen
 tation of some of the research in my group.  In particular\, I will\ndiscu
 ss our work on heuristic reconstruction of Ancestral Recombination\nGraphs
  (ARGs) from genotype or resequencing data.  ARGs describe\ncompletely how
  the genome sequences of individuals might be related:  we\nhave been expl
 oring how to use them in disease association studies and\nreconstruction o
 f full genome sequences from partial whole genome\nshotgun data from multi
 ple yeast strains.
