 ure several projects and studies will be shown to give an overview of curr
 ent topics in computation in architecture\, ranging from new representatio
 n techniques to parametric-design approaches\, Building Information Modeli
 ng\, digital fabrication and simulation methods.\n\n*Biography:*\nChristia
 n Bauriedel studied Architecture in Munich and Urban Planning in Kaisersla
 utern\, Germany. He received his PhD (Dr. Ing.) at the Bauhaus-University 
 of Weimar and taught at several Universities like the Virginia Polytechnic
  Institute and State University in Washington D.C.\, University of Applied
  Sciences in Munich and the American University in Cairo\, receiving sever
 al awards and scholarships. He is currently professor for architecture and
  energy efficient design at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.\n\nIn
  parallel he runs an architectural firm since 2002 in Munich and has reali
 zed projects in the fields of housing\, manufacturing and leisure\, most o
 f them related to computation and sustainability.\n
