DESCRIPTION:To mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War\,
  memorial\, multi-disciplinary\, peace conference is being organised by *t
 he Cambridge Alumni and the PEXIM Foundation Alumni*. The organizers are s
 upported by Sir Paul Judge (Knight\, Aldermanic Sheriff of the City of Lon
 don)\, the principal benefactor of Judge Business School. The conference w
 ill be hosted at University of Cambridge Judge Business School\, ranked as
  one of the world's leading business schools.\n\nThe desirable outcome of 
 this conference is that notable audience gets more familiar about the curr
 ent economic and political landscape and memory projects related to The Gr
 eat War legacy in the fields of: international development\, innovation an
 d youth employment\, education and culture. Proceedings from the conferenc
 e will be recorded and possibly published in other ways if the speakers ag
 ree on that proposal. Moreover\, the conference considers key premises of 
 leadership considering the pivotal role of great man who worked on interna
 tional peace.\n\nThe keynote speakers will include :\n*Professor Dominic L
 ieven\, Cambridge University Faculty of History:* The Great War Underlying
  Causes and Implications\;\n*Aleksandar Protić\, Federal Counselor at UNE
 SCO Federation of France:* \nMemory Projects Fostering Intercultural Under
 standing about the Great War\;\n#*Professor Simon Stockley\, Cambridge Jud
 ge Business School:* Innovation as a Catalyst for Youth Leadership a Centu
 ry after the Great War\;\n\nSpeakers' biographies: \n*Dominic Lieven* grad
 uated first in his year\, 1973\, at the University of Cambridge. He was a 
 Kennedy Scholar at Harvard and\, on completing his PhD\, became a lecturer
  in the Department of Government at the London School of Economics\, where
  he was Professor of Russian Government\, before teaching at Cambridge Fac
 ulty of History. Lieven has also been a visiting professor at Tokyo and Ha
 rvard Universities\, as well as a Humboldt Fellow in Gottingen and Munich.
  He has published widely\, writing on aristocracy\, late imperial Russia\,
  and empire. He is a Fellow of the British Academy.\n\n*Aleksandar Protic*
  was educated at Sorbonne\, International Diplomatic Academy and Prime Min
 ister of France National School of Governance\, and also is Harvard and Ca
 mbridge Executive Education Alumni. He is actively engaged in UNESCO activ
 ities organizing high-level conferences and designing educational\, cultur
 al and scientific programs. Founder of Tesla Memory Project\, Aleksandar i
 s also devoted to the popularization of science. He gave lectures before n
 omerous forums\, institutions\, as well as at Cambridge\, Oxford\, Sorbonn
 e\, Prime Minister of France National School of Governance\, Serbian Acade
 my of Sciences and Arts etc.\n\n*Simon Stockley* is a Teaching Fellow in E
 ntrepreneurship at Cambridge Judge Business School and Deputy Director of 
 Accelerate Cambridge\, the School's new enterprise accelerator. Prior to h
 is recent appointment at Cambridge\, Simon spent 10 years at Imperial Coll
 ege Business School as director of the full-time MBA programme and a princ
 ipal teaching fellow. His MBA course in entrepreneurship was ranked 3rd in
  the world by the Financial Times. Outside work\, Simon is a social entrep
 reneur and an advocate for trafficked women\, in which capacity he has adv
 ised Parliament. He holds several non-executive directorships and has advi
 sed well over 100 technology start-ups.\n\nThis Conference is free and ope
 n to all with no ticket or pre-registration required. The conference will 
 be held at Lecture Theatre 3.\n\nThe Conference will be followed by a cock
