DESCRIPTION:To mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War\,
  memorial\, multi-disciplinary\, peace conference is being organised by *t
 he Cambridge Alumni and the PEXIM Foundation Alumni*. The organizers are s
 upported by Sir Paul Judge (Knight\, Aldermanic Sheriff of the City of Lon
 don)\, the principal benefactor of Judge Business School. The conference w
 ill be hosted at University of Cambridge Judge Business School\, ranked as
  one of the world's leading business schools.\n\nThe desirable outcome of 
 this conference is that notable audience gets more familiar about the curr
 ent economic and political landscape and memory projects related to The Gr
 eat War legacy in the fields of: international development\, innovation an
 d youth employment\, education and culture. Proceedings from the conferenc
 e will be recorded and possibly published in other ways if the speakers ag
 ree on that proposal. Moreover\, the conference considers key premises of 
 leadership considering the pivotal role of great man who worked on interna
 tional peace.\n\nThe keynote speakers will include :\n\n*Professor Dominic

 nSpeakers' biographies:\n \n*Dominic Lieven* graduated first in his year\,
  1973\, at the University of Cambridge. He was a Kennedy Scholar at Harvar
 d and\, on completing his PhD\, became a lecturer in the Department of Gov
 ernment at the London School of Economics\, where he was Professor of Russ
 ian Government\, before teaching at Cambridge Faculty of History. Lieven h
 as also been a visiting professor at Tokyo and Harvard Universities\, as w
 ell as a Humboldt Fellow in Gottingen and Munich. He has published widely\
 , writing on aristocracy\, late imperial Russia\, and empire. He is a Fell
 ow of the British Academy.\n\n*Virginia Crompton's* 18 year career at the 
 BBC falls neatly into two halves.  As a radio documentary producer\, Virgi
 nia originated the flagship Radio 4 history series\, The Long View.  From 
 2004-2012 she launched and ran the BBC’s international school partnershi
 p project\, World Class which was a legacy for the BBC’s Olympic broadca
 sting and reached one million children.  Virginia left the BBC last year t
 o develop projects for the First World War Centenary and is delivering two
  British Council partnership initiatives\, as well as The Last Post projec
 t\, which is a public participation project for the UK and part of the gov
 ernment’s official programme. Virginia has a PhD in English Literature f
 rom the University of East Anglia and a degree from the University of Camb
 ridge.\n \n*Aleksandar Protic* was educated at Sorbonne\, International Di
 plomatic Academy and Prime Minister of France National School of Governanc
 e\, and also is Harvard and Cambridge Executive Education Alumni. He is ac
 tively engaged in UNESCO activities organizing high-level conferences and 
 designing educational\, cultural and scientific programs. Founder of Tesla
  Memory Project\, Aleksandar is also devoted to the popularization of scie
 nce. He gave lectures before nomerous forums\, institutions\, as well as a
 t Cambridge\, Oxford\, Sorbonne\, Prime Minister of France National School
  of Governance\, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts etc.\n\n*Simon Stock
 ley* is a Teaching Fellow in Entrepreneurship at Cambridge Judge Business 
 School and Deputy Director of Accelerate Cambridge\, the School's new ente
 rprise accelerator. Prior to his recent appointment at Cambridge\, Simon s
 pent 10 years at Imperial College Business School as director of the full-
 time MBA programme and a principal teaching fellow. His MBA course in entr
 epreneurship was ranked 3rd in the world by the Financial Times. Outside w
 ork\, Simon is a social entrepreneur and an advocate for trafficked women\
 , in which capacity he has advised Parliament. He holds several non-execut
 ive directorships and has advised well over 100 technology start-ups.\n\nT
 his Conference is free and open to all with no ticket or pre-registration 
 required. The conference will be held at Lecture Theatre 3.\n\nThe Confere
