DESCRIPTION: The transcription factors Foxa1 and Foxa2 promote the specifi
cation of midbrain dopaminergic neurons. To better understand their functi
ons\, we characterized the Foxa1/2 cis-regulatory network by chromatin imm
unoprecipitation followed by high-throughput sequencing of dopamine neuron
s using in vitro and in vivo mouse models. The results highlight important
mechanisms critical to midbrain dopamine neuron development.
