DESCRIPTION:Let O_K be the ring of integers in an algebraic number field K
  (for instance\, O_K might be Z or the Gaussian integers Z[i]).  I will di
 scuss the relationship between the arithmetic properties of O_K and the hi
 gh-dimensional cohomology groups of SL_n(O_K).  This is joint work with To
