DESCRIPTION:The negatively charged silicon-vacancy center in diamond has r
 ecently been shown to have a bright\, spectrally stable optical transition
  and a nonzero spin ground state. I will present an experiment where we ut
 ilized this stable optical transition to demonstrate generation of indisti
 nguishable single photons from separate emitters by a Hong-Ou-Mandel inter
 ference measurement. I will also discuss prospects for realization of cavi
 ty QED experiments with silicon-vacancy centers in diamond
