DESCRIPTION:In the last five years\, our lab and its collaborators have re
vealed that most transcription factor binding diverges rapidly between clo
sely related species such as human and mouse\, and that relationships betw
een TF functionality and conservation of binding among five diverse verteb
rates are complex and can be unpredictable. In this talk\, I will present
one or two stories from our prior and recent work that impact the broad t
heme of PDN as a department.
