  are welcome to attend.\n\nEwan Harrison is Lecturer (Assistant Professor)
  in Political Science\nat Rutgers University\, USA. He completed his PhD a
 t the University of Bristol in 1999\, and was Hedley Bull Junior Research 
 Fellow at St Anne's College\, Oxford 2001-2004. His new book “The Triump
 h of Democracy and the Eclipse of the West” (Palgrave\, 2014) co-authore
 d with professor Sara Mitchell of the University of Iowa\, offers as synth
 esis of the End of History and Clash of Civilizations theses for the 25th 
 anniversary of the end of the Cold War\, and explores the paradox of the g
 lobal spread of democracy and capitalism in an era of Western decline.\n\n
