  Research presents a 2.5 day workshop designed to provide a unique view of
  the far-reaching and sometimes surprising ways in which computer science 
 research is changing the world. \nAttendees will learn more about a select
 ion of Microsoft research projects past and present\, and Microsoft resear
 chers will share their experiences and advice for making a successful care
 er as a researcher in computer science. The event will also provide detail
 s of the wide range of freely-available Microsoft Research software tools.
  \n\nThe workshop will take place at Microsoft Research in Cambridge\, UK\
 , from 16th to 18th June 2014 and is open to students and academic researc
 hers only. It will include a series of talks of academic interest\, interc
 hangeable skills talks\, and networking sessions that will enhance the net
 works of attendees by introducing them to top-level researchers\, postdocs
