DESCRIPTION:The ACLAIIR AGM & Seminar 2014 will take place in Cambridge on
  Tuesday\, 17 June 2014\, and we have an exciting programme lined up on th
 e theme of Open Access. Open Access is curently a hot topic across the glo
 be due to its wide-ranging effects. Many policies and practices are in a s
 tate of rapid change\, so we hope you will join us to keep up to date with
  this important subject and contribute to the debate.\n\nFor our first pan
 el we have speakers from the world of mainstream academic publishing ? Cam
 bridge University Press ? as well as the independent Open Book Publishers.
  We?re also pleased to welcome representatives from OAPEN-UK\, the JISC an
 d AHRC funded collaborative research project on OA.  The second panel incl
 udes researchers who are all engaging in different ways with Open Access\,
  becoming involved with OA groups\, writing about OA and developing OA pro
