  for sustainable energy. Batteries are one of the storage systems being ex
 plored. Lithium-ion batteries are one of the most mature secondary batteri
 es and are utilized in many applications such as cell phones and laptops. 
 In this journal club\, I will briefly talk about battery technologies from
  the very beginning of batteries and their principles to current research.
