DESCRIPTION:We describe some recent results on boundary value problems for
  equations of the form $-Lu+f(x\,u)=0$\, in a domain $D$ in $R^N$. Here  $
 L$ is the Laplacian or a more general second order elliptic equation and  
 $f$ is positive in $D	imes R_+$\, monotone increasing with respect to the 
 second variable.The boundary data is given by positive measures\, possibly
  unbounded.\n
