SUMMARY:Coordination of post-translational protein modification in human i
nteraction networks - Dr. Ulrich Stelzl\, Max Plank Institute for Molecul

DESCRIPTION:The cellular response to signals is frequently initiated by th
e reversible covalent post-translational modification (PTM) of present \np
roteins\, such as protein phosphorylation. A crucial point for understandi
ng the information flow in cellular signaling is to define \nhow the vast
spectrum of PTMs are recognized by interacting molecules and how PTM-depen
dent alterations are coordinated in protein interaction \nnetworks that le
ad to signal propagation and dictate e.g. cellular cancer phenotypes.
