DESCRIPTION:As part of OWASP AppSec Europe 2014 Conference\, being hosted
 at Anglia Ruskin University\, East Road\, Cambridge\, we are arranging a s
pecial community based\nlecture by Dr Richard Stallman \, President of the
Free Software Foundation\, who will be talking about\n\n*Freedom Issues f
or Web Sites*\n\nWeb sites continually raise several issues of concern tha
t affect individual users' freedom. As part of their design\, such web sit
es often make users run nonfree\nsoftware (perhaps in Javascript) whilst o
thers collect data about people or help both commercial and clandestine en
tities to do so. Some websites may help do the user's own computing and th
us deny users control over it. Dr Richard Stallman will speak about these
problems and how to avoid them.\n\n*Biography for Dr. Richard Stallman*\n\
nDr. Richard Stallman launched the free software movement in 1983 and star
ted the development of the GNU operating system (see www.gnu.org) in 1984.
GNU is free software: everyone has the freedom to copy it and redistribut
e it\, with or withoutchanges. The GNU/Linux system\, basically the GNU op
erating system with Linux added\, is used on tens of millions of computers
today. Stallman has received the ACM Grace Hopper Award\, a MacArthur Fou
ndation fellowship\, the Electronic Frontier Foundation's Pioneer Award\,
and the Takeda Award for Social/Economic Betterment\, as well as several d
octorates honoris causa\, and has been inducted into the Internet Hall of
Fame.\n\n*About OWASP*\n\nOWASP (Open Web Application Security Project is
