DESCRIPTION:The LeMaPS project is led by the University of Nottingham work
 ing with secondary schools in the University of Cambridge Faculty of Educa
 tion partnership. Its aim is to research the  development and sustainabili
 ty of networks of schools using lesson study to support the teaching of  m
 athematical problem solving.\nIn this symposium we welcome visitors from P
 roject for International Math-teacher Professionalization Using Lesson Stu
 dy (IMPULS) at Tokyo Gakugei University. This follows a visit  in the morn
 ing to Comberton Village College to observe a research lesson focussed on 
 mathematical problem solving.\n
