DESCRIPTION:For the first time we have obtained clear signals of resonance
s in coupled-channel meson-meson scattering from lattice QCD. We extract a
precise spectrum of energy levels relevant to pion-kaon and eta-kaon scat
tering with isospin-1/2\, from lattices with three volumes and several mov
ing frames. By using the Luescher method and recent generalisations\, thes
e finite-volume energy levels are related to the infinite volume coupled-c
hannel scattering amplitudes that clearly describe S\, P and D wave resona
nces. In S-wave we find a broad resonance coupling dominantly to the pion-
kaon channel and a narrow resonance in D-wave.
