 exploited in an ever wider range of practical applications. However\, full
 y exploiting these capabilities to design complex\, three-dimensional flow
  systems often requires intelligent use of statistical and computational m
 ethods so that users can derive the maximum benefit from the minimum amoun
 t of computing effort. Effective techniques will described via a number of
  industrial case studies and current research efforts towards the developm
 ent of real-time CFD will be outlined.
