DESCRIPTION:This talk summarizes our work on power conversion from renewab
 le low grade sources. Queensland Geothermal Energy Centre of Excellence ha
 s been established in 2009 to help the industry in its quest to generate p
 ower from enhanced (engineered) geothermal systems. Four programs aiming a
 t reservoirs\, transmission\, heat exchangers and turbomachinery were then
  designed with the main goal of using supercritical fluid flows in the pow
 er cycle. Difficulties associated with such flow systems are listed and po
 ssibilities for future research are explored in this talk. More details ca
