DESCRIPTION:The Moral Psychology Research Group is delighted to announce o
 ur next event\, a debate between Prof. Roger Crisp and Prof Andrew McLeod 
 on the empirical psychological and philosophical questions surrounding wel
 l-being and the good life.\n\nThe event will be chaired by Dr. Gillian San
 dstrom (Psychology\, University of Cambridge) and will include presentatio
 ns by Prof. Crisp (5pm) and Prof. MacLeod (6pm)\, each followed by discuss
 ion between speakers and Q&A. A wine reception will conclude the event.\n\
 n_About the presenters:_\n\nProf. Roger Crisp is a Uehiro fellow and profe
 ssor of Philosophy at the University of Oxford. His work is dedicated to f
 undamental questions about the nature of well-being and the role of virtue
  in a well-lived life. He is the author of Mill on Utilitarianism (1997) a
 nd Reasons and the Good (2006) and editor of The Oxford Handbook of the Hi
 story of Ethics (2013)\, among many others.\n\nProf. Andrew MacLeod is a p
 rofessor of Clinical Psychology and director of the clinical doctorate pro
 gram of the Royal Holloway University of London. He is a leading researche
 r in the field of mental health and well-being\, and adopts a positive psy
 chological approach to the design of clinical and nonclinical intervention
 s.\n\nOur future events include an interdisciplinary meet and greet\, and 
 talks by prominent researches on key contemporary issues in the field\, in
