SUMMARY:Color Transformations Across the Life Span: Two Hypotheses about
Modulation by Light - Professor John S. Werner\, University of California\
 , Davis
DTSTART:20141001T120000Z

UID:TALK54132@talks.cam.ac.uk
CONTACT:John Mollon
DESCRIPTION:Experimental observations will address (1) some functional mec
hanisms responsible for changes in chromatic sensitivity from infancy to o
ld age\, and (2) why color appearance is so stable across the life span de
spite changes in retinal mechanisms. The point of these studies is not si
mply to inform us about normal aging\, but to use aging as a probe with wh
ich to identify underlying mechanisms that operate independently of age.
