DESCRIPTION:Hydrodynamical simulations of galaxies have only recently mana
ged to produce realistic spirals in cosmological dark matter halos. It is
widely believed that strong feedback from massive stars is the key to this
success. I will present simulations run using GADGET3 with a MUlti-Phase
Particle Integrator algorithm for star formation and stellar feedback\, ba
sed on a simple model for the behaviour of the Inter-Stellar Medium at unr
esolved scales that does not assume the existence of equilibrium solutions
. I will focus on the quantification of the outflows generated at high red
shift in our simulations. Results will be used to understand the potential
ities of our sub-grid model\, the reason for its success\, and some ideas
 to further challenge such models.\n
