DESCRIPTION:Polyhedral meshes are defined as general polygonal meshes with
planar faces. These meshes have attracted recent attention\, mainly due t
o their benefits in industrial and architectural design. I will present fr
ameworks that provide a parametrization of the deformation shape spaces of
polyhedral meshes\, while also pertaining to meaningful subclasses\, such
as circular meshes. Such shape spaces allow for efficient editing\, inter
 polation\, and shape exploration.\n\nBio:Amir Vaxman is a FWF Lise-Meitner
postdoctoral fellow at TU Vienna\, working under Helmut Pottmann in the G
eometric Modeling and Industrial Geometry group. He received his Ph.D. fro
m the Technion-IIT under the supervision of Gill Barequet. His research fo
cuses on architectural geometry\, with an emphasis on polyhedral meshes de
 sign.
