 ollege London)

CONTACT:Christopher Clarke
DESCRIPTION:This talk will argue that causation is not constituted by fund
amental physical pushes\, but is rather a macroscopic phenomenon akin to t
he increase of entropy. As well as defending this view by reference to rec
ent probabilistic approaches to causation\, the talk will explore some of
its implications for physicalist reductionism in the philosophy of mind an
 d elsewhere.
