DESCRIPTION:Time-like constant mean curvature hypersurfaces in Minkowski\n
space are one way to model extended test bodies evolving under a\nconstant
\nnormal force. The associated equations are quasilinear hyperbolic\nparti
al differential equations\, for which we study the Cauchy problem.\nAn exp
licit solution is an appropriately-rescaled de Sitter space\, with\nthe us
ual hyperboloidal embedding. We discuss the nonlinear stability of\nthis s
olution\, focussing on the geometric obstructions\, and their\nresolutions
\, that arise when passing from the homogeneous case to the\ninhomogeneous
  case.
