DESCRIPTION:I will discuss recent joint work with L. Katzarkov and M. Kont
 sevich\n(arXiv:1409.8611). Starting from a quadratic differential on a com
 pact\nRiemann surface which is allowed to have zeros\, poles\, and certain
 \nexponential-type singularities we construct a Bridgeland stability\ncond
 ition with stable objects corresponding to finite geodesics. The\nrelevant
  category is the partially wrapped Fukaya category of a surface\,\nfor whi
 ch we give a self-contained\, combinatorial definition. The proof\nrelies 
 on the fact that the classification of objects in these categories\nis a t
 ame problem and has a nice solution in terms of immersed curves with\nloca
 l system.
