SUMMARY:High-content microscopy: big-data biology goes spatio-temporal - D

DESCRIPTION:Biology is intrinsically spatio-temporal and microscopy has al
ways played a critical role in its history. With the development of fluore
scence microscopy\, genetics tools\, automated microscopes and image analy
sis\, dataset involving thousands of conditions ranging tens of Tb of intr
acellular single-cell information are becoming common. This seminar will p
resent an overview of the field\, focusing on work done in Cambridge using
fission yeast as a model to look into cell morphogenesis.
