DESCRIPTION:In this talk I will discuss my research on the deformation the
 ory of complex submanifolds. I hope to cover: what is a complex (sub)manif
 old\, what is a deformation\, why would we want to deform a complex subman
 ifold and how do we deform a complex submanifold. The talk will be accessi
 ble to those with no background in differential geometry.
