SUMMARY:Finding Patterns in Genes and Proteins - Dr Sarah Teichmann\, Sang
 er Institute/EMBL
DTSTART:20150601T183000Z
DTEND:20150601T200000Z
UID:TALK55541@talks.cam.ac.uk
CONTACT:Dr Nigel Bennee
DESCRIPTION:In the post-genomic era\, high-throughput methods are providin
g us with a deluge of data about genes and proteins. \n\nWhat knowledge ab
out biology does this new data hold? \n\nI am working to gain a better und
erstanding of how cells and organisms work so that we can draw on the evol
utionary information inherent in the growing number of genome sequences an
d protein structures. \n\nThis talk will explain how computational analysi
s of genomic information reveals fundamental principles of gene and protei
 n interactions.\n
