DESCRIPTION:After a brief introduction on the validity problem for the Bol
 tzmann equation\, we will focus on the case of a classical system of N par
 ticles interacting via a short range potential. We will show that\, in the
  low-density limit\, the system behaves as predicted by the associated Bol
 tzmann equation. The results presented are obtained in collaboration with 
 M. Pulvirenti and S. Simonella.
