DESCRIPTION:This presentation will show the design and some preliminary re
 sults of the experiment of my ongoing PhD project on four aspect markers i
 n Chinese and their behaviours in L2 Chinese Grammars. My PhD project cond
 ucts an empirical study in the framework of the Feature Reassembly Hypothe
 sis\, discusses the key semantic features of the four aspect markers le\, 
 guo\, zhe\, and zai and their interactions with different situation types\
 , compares the aspectual systems of Chinese and English\, in terms of view
 point aspect and their corresponding morphological markers. To reveal how 
 English-speaking learners of Chinese establish L1-L2 mapping and how they 
 alter the feature set of Chinese aspect markers in subsequent development\
 , an Acceptability Judgement task\, an Interpretation task\, a Sentence Pr
 oduction task and an Elicited Imitation task are involved in my preliminar
 y test.
