DESCRIPTION:Jucys-Murphy elements for the partition algebras were defined 
 by Halverson and Ram in terms of a diagram basis for the partition algebra
 s. In this talk\, we will show how a recursion for these Jucys-Murphy elem
 ents can be used to derive a new presentation for the partition algebras. 
 Using this presentation we then obtain formulae for the irreducible repres
 entations of the partition algebras\, analogous to Young's seminormal form
  for the group algebra of the symmetric group.
