DESCRIPTION:A perfect fluid is one of the simplest fluid systems imaginabl
e\, and it can be described classically by an effective field theory. Howe
ver\, quantising this theory - i.e. putting said action in a path integral
and computing correlators - has proved difficult\, as\, owing to the unre
strained excitations of transverse modes\, correlators diverge at late tim
es. After reviewing the above\, I will show how to extract useful informat
ion from the path integral\, providing evidence that a "quantum perfect fl
uid" is a consistent theory (with interesting behaviour).
