DESCRIPTION:"The infiltration of inflammatory cells into hypoxic tissue mi
croenvironments and subsequent formation of new blood vessels or remodelli
ng of existing vasculature are central features of physiological wound hea
ling responses. These are also pathophysiological processes of tumour angi
ogenesis and tissue fibrosis\, which could be conceived of as "aberrant" w
ound healing. Our lab aims to:\n\n* decipher how inflammatory cell-driven
remodelling of the vasculature affects these processes\, and \n\n* develop
therapeutic strategies by exploiting the beneficial impact of the inflamm
atory response and vascular remodelling."\n\nSpeaker websites:\n\nhttp://w
