DESCRIPTION:Many cultures in the world have different languages. While som
 e of these languages are still in use today\, others are being pushed by t
 he wayside for globalization. I will focus on some fading dialects of mode
 rn languages\, and languages that are on the brink of extinction. Mayan wi
 ll be a key language that I will cover\, due to my two-year experience wit
 h the people and language in the Yucatan peninsula\, Mexico\, and will sho
 w what is being done to preserve the language and how that can apply to ot
 her languages worldwide.\n
