DESCRIPTION:The elevator pitch is important because it enables you to comm
 unicate quickly and effectively and preparing one ensures that you are abs
 olutely clear about what you’re offering\, why it's valuable and what yo
 u want next.\n\nOn Friday 28 November\, between 12:00 and 14:00 we are hol
 ding a session to allow people to rehearse their elevator pitches and rece
 ive advice from the Visiting Professors of Innovation (http://engineerimpa
 ct.wordpress.com/raeng-visiting-professors-of-innovation/).  We’ll use t
 he same format that worked so well during the recent ‘Sales for research
 ers’ course.\n\nIf you’d like to come along\, either to pitch or to ob
 serve\, then please contact Jo Griffiths (jg393@cam.ac.uk).  There are a l
 imited number of slots for pitches so if you want to pitch do please let J
 o know soon.\n\nThe session will be held in the CUED Board Room and lunch 
 will be available from 12:00 – let Jo know if you have any dietary requi
 rements.\n
