DESCRIPTION:Friends of MSF and the Cambridge Global Health Society are hos
ting a charity film screening of the "Living in Emergency" the acclaimed M
SF documentary about their work in Liberia and the DRC\, and the lives of
their staff based there (See below for more info). \n\nThe event is on Wed
nesday the 19th of January at 7:30pm in the McCrum Lecture theatre (locate
d behind the Eagle pub\, go through the archway and through a black gate\,
there will be signs on the night). \n\nWe will be charging £3 admission
to the event\, and all of the money raised will go straight to MSF to help
them continue their amazing work. \n\nWe would love it if you could come
along to what is sure to be a fascinating evening. \n\n\nNeither a call fo
r sympathy nor a tale of heroism\, this film interweaves the stories of fo
ur MSF doctors as they struggle to provide emergency medical care under ex
treme conditions in post-conflict Liberia and war-torn Democratic Republic
of Congo\, demonstrating the reality of aid work – blood and sweat\, to
 ugh decisions and difficult consequences\, disco-dancing and tears.\nFor m
ore information on the film please go to http://www.msf.org.uk/inspiring-m
