DESCRIPTION:What are analogue computers? They are widely considered as “
 ancient” and “useless” pieces of technology. My talk will debunk thi
 s misconception.\n\nI will start by giving an overview of the different ty
 pes of analogue computer\, and their real-life applications. We will talk 
 about electronic devices called operational amplifiers and discuss their c
 haracteristics. The talk will then move on to give an in-depth look into h
 ow we can use them to solve differential equations in electronic analogue 
 computers and the potential limitations to the approach. Finally\, we will
  take a sneak peek at what the future may hold for analogue computing.
