DESCRIPTION:Benson's regularity conjecture\, now a theorem of Symonds\, st
ates\nthat the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of the cohomology ring of a
finite\ngroup with trivial coefficients is always zero. A natural question
is what\nhappens to the regularity if we take coefficients in other kG-mo
dules? I\nwill start by introducing the necessary background on group coho
mology and\nregularity\, giving plenty of examples. Then we will look at s
ome recent\nresults which answer the question for certain classes of modul
es and using\nthis provide a complete answer for certain groups.
