DESCRIPTION:*Scifest Africa* was started in Grahamstown\, home of Rhode's 
 University\, as a counterbalance to the National Arts Festival as a projec
 t of the Grahamstown Foundation. Still based in Grahamstown\, Scifest is s
 tarting to plan for its twentieth birthday celebrations. Each year it has 
 managed to grow and become more ambitious. Its popularity is based on high
  quality content and an in-depth appreciation of the audiences that attend
 .\n\nThis presentation will introduce the festival\, give a short review o
 f its history and context\, before moving on to consider how it can be sus
 tained into the future.
