DESCRIPTION:CGHR\, Amnesty International and STAR (Student Action for Refu
 gees) are pleased to present _Asylum Monologues_ performed by *iceandfire
 ’s Actors for Human Rights*. _Asylum Monologues_ (scripted by Sonja Lind
 en) is a first-hand account of the UK’s asylum system in the words of pe
 ople who have experienced it. No part of the testimonies used to develop _
 Asylum Monologues_ has been fictionalised\, and the script is regularly up
 dated with new testimonies. Launched at Amnesty International in June 2006
 \, the performance has been touring the UK ever since. \n\n*iceandfire* ex
 plores human rights stories through performance. Actors for Human Rights\,
  iceandfire’s outreach project\, are a network of more than 500 professi
 onal actors dedicated to drawing attention to contemporary human rights co
