DESCRIPTION:*Professor Stelios Kavadias* is deeply interested in innovatio
n and growth. He will use his academic and practical insights to interview
a panel of entrepreneurs and senior managers about how they managed the c
ross over from having ideas to creating early stage ventures and growing t
heir respective businesses. It is all very well to have ideas and to start
a business but how do you sustain the spirit of entrepreneurship through
the difficult period of growth when things become more process driven and
what processes do you need?\n\nWe have *Denis Kaminsky* CEO and co-founder
of a fast growing enterprise software company *Arcus Global*\; *Emma Ratz
er* of *Access Community Trust* to talk about growth in social enterprise
and *Dr. Jane Dancer* Chief Business Officer from *F-Star* that is in the
biotech sector.\n\n*Enterprise Tuesday* is a series of FREE evening lectur
es and networking sessions delivered by the *Centre for Entrepreneurial Le
arning (CfEL)* which take place from November to the end of February in Ca
mbridge. The programme aims to introduce participants to the world of busi
ness\, as well as to encourage and inspire individuals to pursue their ent
repreneurial ambition. It is the most popular non-assessed programme withi
n the University and the model has been adopted by numerous other academic
institutions as well as corporations.\n\nEnterprise Tuesday is open to al
l University of Cambridge staff and students\, members of other universiti
es and the local business community. The series is particularly relevant f
or postgraduate students considering future career paths\, those exploring
entrepreneurial opportunities and looking to build high quality networks
with experts and practitioners.\n\n*Weekly format:*\n\n*18:00-18:30 Regist
ration* We advise attendees to arrive as early as possible in order to ens
ure a seat (particularly in Michaelmas Term).\n\n*18:30-20:00 Lecture* The
lectures will cover some of the practical skills that are needed to succe
ssfully commercialise an idea. These lectures are delivered by a number of
successful and experienced entrepreneurs.\n\n*20:00-21:00 Networking* Thi
s represents an opportunity to network with guest speakers and other aspir
ing entrepreneurs.\n\n“Enterprise Tuesday epitomises Cambridge’s world
-class entrepreneurial ecosystem. It allows regular students\, prospective
entrepreneurs with ‘zero’ entrepreneurial experience and current star
tup founders to be inspired by highly successful and engaging founders of
premier companies. Combined with a great networking session after the talk
s and the chance to meet similarly motivated students and professionals fr
om different fields\, this once-a-week event it an absolute must to attend
.”\n*Ajoeb Baridi*\, President of the Cambridge University Innovation Fo
