DESCRIPTION:B20 transition metal compound MnSi presents a model system to
study weak itinerant ferromagnetism. The competition of various energy sca
les in such a system leads to the formation of a unique helimagnetic order
. MnSi undergoes a transition into helical magnetic state at temperatures
below TN = 30K. The application of a magnetic field has already produced s
ome intriguing results in the discovery of novel magnetic dynamical states
and magnetic transport phenomena.\n\nIn this work we present a high-press
ure study of the thermal transport properties on single crystal MnSi. In p
articular\, the results for the thermopower and electrical resistivity are
presented over a broad range of pressures up to 100kbar. The findings are
discussed and compared to chemical doping studies in FexMn1-xSi within th
 e framework of spin-fluctuations. \n \n
