DESCRIPTION:VetCompass (www.rvc.ac.uk/vetcompass) is the collaborative pro
 ject based at the Royal Veterinary College that shares and analyses de-ide
 ntified veterinary electronic patient records (EPR) from participating pra
 ctices in order to understand more clearly the major disorders affecting s
 mall animals in practice and to benefit companion animal welfare in genera
 l. Currently over 300 practices take part in VetCompass\, contributing ong
 oing clinical records from over 1.5 million animals. This seminar will hig
 hlight the work of VetCompass within the clinical example of canine degene
 rative mitral valve disease.
